Before I put on my make-up I say a little prayer for you…

I love make up.  I don’t wear it SUPER regularly, I mean, I’ve always been one for liner and mascara, but shadow and foundation and blush and lip stuff was never my thing.  Well, about a year ago, there was this gal at work who would always do such an amazing job on her eyeshadow, I mean, we’re talking Boy George awesome so one day we got to talking about it and she told me about how she watches YouTube for make-up tutorials and I sure enough got into it myself (MakeUpGeekTV is adorable and amazing!).  Now I’ve got terrible skin so I still don’t use foundation and every time I go to put on lip stuff, which I have a ton of stuff for, I end up wiping it off shortly after, but eyeshadow is something I really got into.  On the tutorials they would use this big pallet, and 88 color pallet that I assumed was so expensive but sure enough, it was only like 10 bucks thru a make-up place on the other side of the state…and the colors are really vibrant and for that price it was easy to get it one set for Matte and one set in Shimmer.  So I started buying some drug store stuff but soon realized that not all eyeshadows are the same…some just don’t go on as vibrant as others so I tend to be very weary of them…well, today Wet N Wild had some on sale for clearance…$2.49 for:

Well, I figured it would be worth a shot and I tell you what, the result is literally JUST as good as my Lorac Color me Couture pallet I got and use all the time from Sephora:

Dont get me wrong, Lorac is still my favorite eyeshadow set ever, but this is a good keep-at-work back up and for 2.50 it’s WORTH IT!!!  I’m just bummed that I dropped a green set on the ground and busted it all up…but how much eyeshadow does one girl need?  But I do have a tiny set of make up here at work that I really do end up using regularly.  It’s funny because for instance, I use primer for the eyelid, you need something to grab the shadow right, but for me I used a lipstick type of concealer instead of the expensive eyeshadow primers that they sell…good old Wet N Wild concealer stick does the trick like you don’t know!  So I have one in my purse, one at work and one at home…along with a little set of eyeshadow, now my Wet N Wild set here at work, eye liner and lip gloss…it’s like, I’m set where ever I am!

About internjessica

My name is Jessica Pac but you might know me as Intern Jessica from The Radio Dan show, or possibly as Pac Bauer, roller girl extraordinaire from The Palm Beach Rollergirls! I’m 31 in 2010 (if this blog is years and years old you do the math) and I live in beautiful Boca Raton Florida (no, I’ve yet to run into Seinfeld’s parents although I just might be dating myself with that comment!) I have an amazing husband, Dan, and a beautiful step-daughter, Alexa. I have 2 sisters, Rebecca is 4+ years younger than me, she lives about 2 hours away and Stephanie is 5+ years younger than me and she lives just about ½ hour away. She has 2 sons, my nephews, Nicky and Elliott. Nicky has autism and is progressing wonderfully as the years go by and Elliott is a wonderful younger brother! We have a cat named Charlie who is a gray tuxedo cat and for some reason I talk about him way more than I think I should, although I can’t imagine I would write a lot about him. I have a day job that I love with Waste Management and if I’m there forever I wouldn’t mind not one bit. I love going to movies and I love watching television shows. My mother passed away from brain cancer when I was 15 years old. She was a super strong super short super cool lady and I always wonder about how it would have been to have her in my life. As I mentioned before, I’m on The Radio Dan Show with my husband and I hope that this is something that we continue to do for years to come. I also play Roller Derby for a league here in Palm Beach County and although I’m nursing a broken ankle I really hope to continue to do it in the future! I’m orig from NY just like a lot of people here in Florida and I think that sums me up for now. I’m beginning this blog Nov 2010 and I hope to be able to keep up with it because I think that blogging is a wonderful way to remember things that you just don’t realize that you’ll forget. I know because I kept a blog before and sometimes when I read back through it I can’t help but be amazed about the things we’ve done and seen together throughout our lives.

I’m a total drugstore make-up user (Cover Girl, Rimmel etc.) and I use Wet and Wild blush and love it! Much easier on the wallet as well! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog header!
